Bobcat bogging down Jun 19, 2011 · I have a 642B that I am having some issues withAt first the bobcat was driffting when in the neutral position, so I adjusted the steering to stop the drifting. I have an older (believe 80's) 743 bobcat with a kubota diesel. we were digging a 400ft trench to lay tile and it dug fine but if we tried to move it it would bog down alot. {close} I was always tought not to load an engine down, I guess its knowing when to back off. ours will bog down and have an erratic idle. It's had a bogging issue for a while, sometimes worse than others. Bad: machine has 3900 hours of production forestry/mastication work, has been upside down 3 times and it shows. It bogs down while loading, and gets steadily worse. there is a electronic solenoid on top of the main pump which is bolted to the engine, not sure if the wires have been disconnected or not, could that be the solenoid you are talking about.
