These cars should be recalled, but Mercedes seems to be taking a workaround. reliability shouldnt be a concern for both cars, the b58 is known to be a reliable engine (it‘s a bmw inline 6 after all cant go wrong with that), the m256 also isn‘t showing any major problems yet, only thing I heard is some overheating issues which can be solved with a quick cpu uprade to the 48V hybrid system I have zero beef against them, but unfortunately it's just Mercedes-Benz's 48-volt system specifically that's all. Oh lastly, those problems didn’t pop up till way after they reached a 100+k miles. I don't know what reliability issues other folks are referring to. 2.
